Grants 
- Contributed more than $10 million in cumulative grants to the park and surrounding communities since 1995, including co-funding the Island Explorer bus system and contributing more than $2.6 million to carriage road maintenance
- Employ annually more than 100 workers who serve Acadia
- Funded, in 2007, nine scientists doing field research in the park through L.L.Bean Acadia Research Fellowships; also funded participation of six Maine middle schools in the Schoodic Education Adventure through the L.L.Bean Kids in Acadia program
- Supported for 6 th year a study of loon nesting success on MDI
Stewardship 
- Recruit and organize annually more than 2,500 volunteers who contribute more than 12,000 hours to the park and surrounding communities
- Host annual events that encourage children and adults to get outdoors and learn about leaving a stewardship legacy, including Family Fun Day, Earth Day Roadside Clean-Up, Take Pride in Acadia Day, and National Trails Day events
- Maintain and rebuild trails and other valuable resources through our Acadia Youth Conservation Corps, Ridge Runner, and Village Connector Trail programs
- Celebrate and honor Acadia’s founders, including George B. Dorr, John D. Rockefeller Jr., and Charles W. Eliot
- Protected five parcels of land, with partners; this includes the north slope of Acadia Mountain, threatened by development in 2007
Advocacy 
- Testify annually before Congress to encourage maximum funding for national parks
- Issue advocacy alerts that bring together many voices to support full federal funding for Acadia and fight threats to the park
- Urged the National Park Service to revise policies that could hamper park philanthropy and resource protection
- Co-hosted a visit from the Secretary of the Interior in 2006 and testified to encourage cooperative conservation and maximum funding for national parks
- Consult with Congressional committees and national park partners on draft legislation authorizing an additional $200 million in public and private funding for our national parks, through the Centennial Challenge
