2012 ANNUAL MEETING

Friends of Acadia celebrated founders and friends at its annual meeting.
2011 Friends of Acadia Awards:
Marianne Edwards Distinguished Service Award , honoring individuals for outstanding accomplishments in helping Friends and the park execute their respective missions. This is FOA's highest award and is named in honor of the principal founder and first recipient.
Lili Pew, Chair, FOA Board of Directors
Distinguished Public Service Award, honoring public agency employees for exemplary performance of duty in protecting park values and for notable achievements
Jim Vekasi, Chief of Maintenance, Acadia National Park
Conservation Colleague Award, honoring organizations who are deeply involved in protecting park values.
Glen Mittelhauser, Maine Natural History Observatory, and
Ann Kinney, Garden Club of Mount Desert
President's Award for Damn Good Work, honoring achievements by individuals in often unseen roles that strengthen FOA's organizational capacity to succeed at its mission.
