HOW TO GIVE SECURITIES TO FRIENDS OF ACADIA

1. STEP ONE: Please notify Lisa Horsch, the Director of Development, of your intended
stock gift at 1-800-625-0321.

2. STEP TWO: Prior to actual transfer, please call (or have your broker call) Maureen Irving (212-357-0171) or Heather Antonucci (212-902-8918) at Goldman, Sachs & Co. with:

a) your name;
b) account name (Friends of Acadia);
c) broker’s name, firm, and direct phone number;
d) name of securities;
e) approximate number of shares;
f) approximate value of securities;
g) expected date of wire transfer; and
h) intended purpose of the gift (e.g. general purposes, endowment, etc.)

Please instruct your broker to wire our bank YOUR NAME and FRIENDS OF ACADIA’S NAME. Each year we receive some stock gifts by wire that carry neither the donor’s name nor our name. The “blind” stock thus sits unclaimed at the bank and delays your acknowledgement.

3. STEP THREE: Please have your broker wire the stock to Friends of Acadia’s account at
Goldman, Sachs & Co.

For the Account of: Friends of Acadia
Please write “transfer via DTC” in the instructions.

We will send an acknowledgment letter within one week of the receipt of stock. For your tax
purposes, your gift will be valued at the average of the high and low prices on the date
Friends of Acadia assumes ownership of the stock.
